Lisa C. Grimes, Managing Attorney

Lisa Grimes has been practicing law for over 20 years.  She has extensive experience in transactional real estate and commercial finance, including the representation of institutional lenders in complex multi-million dollar transactions.  Lisa also practices in the areas of landlord/tenant, adoption, estate planning, probate and estate administration and enjoys handling the day to day corporate matters that all small-businesses owners face on a regular basis.

Prior to opening her own firm, Lisa was Vice President of KeyBank National Association and served as Managing Counsel for the St. Louis office of KeyBank Real Estate Capital.  Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science degree and she obtained her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law.   Lisa is the oldest of five siblings, was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and enjoys golf, travel and reading. 


During her career Lisa has handled variety of legal matters, a few of which are briefly highlighted below:

    •  Represented landlords and tenants in the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases
        and purchase option agreements.
    •  Prepared buy-sell and/or partnership or operating agreements for various clients,  
        addressing issues of control, termination and other related matters.
    •  Developed construction loan documentation for an institutional lender in connection with a
        revolving construction loan program. 
    •  Represented clients in the acquisition of real property via eminent domain proceedings.
    •  Negotiated, documented and closed a $40 million loan and collateral substitution related to the
       acquisition and construction of industrial and warehouse property located in Los Angeles, California.
    •  Served as counsel to numerous institutional lenders in connection with the documentation
       preparation, negotiation and closing of numerous sophisticated commercial real estate loans,   
       including the drafting and negotiation of loan commitments, complex promissory notes and    
       security instruments, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, intercreditor   
       agreements and guaranties.
    •  Advised a national banking association in connection with the preparation and negotiation of a   
       loan servicing agreement with a nationally recognized insurance company for the servicing of a
       loan portfolio having a value of over $1 billion. 
    •  Handled the formation of joint ventures to develop, own and operate various office and industrial
        parks located in California.
    •  Prepared contracts and agreements addressing issues relevant to the day to day operation small,
        medium and large business and corporations.
